Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport - our overnight stop before an early flight to Greece.

Looking for a Bristol Airport hotel before an early flight? We stayed at Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport for one night in late September 2026 before a 6am flight to Greece. In this review, we take you inside our king room, show you the bathroom and explain how we arrange our airport parking.

For us, this was a practical overnight stop. With an alarm planned for around 2am, we wanted somewhere close to the terminal where we could get settled before the following morning’s departure.

If you’re comparing Bristol Airport hotels, here’s what we found during our stay.

Where is Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport?

The hotel is beside Bristol Airport’s terminal area. In the opening of our video, we show the nearby multi-storey car park, the stairs towards the terminal and the hotel building, helping you get your bearings before arrival.

The entrance is below the Hampton sign, down in the corner of the building. Once inside, our route to the room took us over an enclosed footbridge linking sections of the hotel.

Being close to the terminal was the main reason this location suited us. We were only staying for one night, and our priority was a convenient base before an early departure.

Our king room: compact but practical

Our room had a king-size bed and a sofa bed in the corner. It felt compact, but for a short airport stay there was enough space for what we needed.

A large mirror sat on the left as we entered. Further inside were the bed, sofa bed, a small desk and a television, with storage around the room. We were heading off the next morning, so we mostly lived out of our suitcases rather than unpacking.

This wasn’t a room we had booked to spend a whole day relaxing in. We wanted somewhere to get organised and sleep before our flight, and the layout made sense for that purpose.

A sofa bed for families

The sofa bed was a useful feature of our particular room. We pointed out in the video that it could provide sleeping space for children, with adults using the king-size bed.

If you’re travelling as a family, check the exact room description and permitted occupancy before booking. Our room had both beds, but you shouldn’t assume every room has the same layout or that the sofa bed will automatically be prepared.

What was in the room?

During our room tour, we found:

  • A king-size bed and sofa bed

  • A small desk and television

  • A kettle with a small selection of tea and coffee

  • Drawers, a wardrobe and clothes hangers

  • A luggage rack

  • An iron and ironing board

  • A hairdryer on the wardrobe’s top shelf

There was also spare bedding on the top shelf, which we thought was for the sofa bed.

One detail worth mentioning is the sliding door arrangement: the wardrobe door also served as the bathroom door. It’s something you can see in the room tour if you want a better idea of the layout.

For our one-night stay, the facilities covered the basics we were looking for. The kettle was handy, while the desk provided another surface for organising things before departure.

The bathroom and shower

The en-suite bathroom at Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport, with a sink, fresh towels and shower enclosure.

The bathroom had a toilet, a small sink and a decent-size shower cubicle. We liked the shower’s finish, and it looked more than adequate for a short airport hotel stay.

Wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided, so those essentials were already available in the room.

The shower had a straightforward shower attachment and controls. You can see the cubicle and bathroom layout in our video, which is useful if you prefer to look around before booking.

Food and drink at the hotel

There was a bar and food area downstairs. In the video, we describe it as more of a café-style setup than a formal restaurant, but it offered somewhere to get something to eat without making a separate trip away from the airport.

We also noted that the terminal was nearby as another place to look for food. Check current opening times if you’re arriving late or leaving very early.

Our video focuses on the room and bathroom. We haven’t included a breakfast review or a meal review here, as neither is covered in the tour and we left the hotel at 3:30 in the morning!

How much did our stay cost?

We paid £173.91 for one night on a bed-and-breakfast basis in late September 2026, staying in a king room with a sofa bed. Parking was booked separately.

That was the price for our particular stay; rates for your dates may differ.

Bristol Airport parking: what we booked and paid

We parked in Bristol Airport’s main multi-storey car park rather than the hotel’s own parking area. We could see a small hotel parking area from the footbridge, but our longer stay was booked separately.

Our parking for 15 nights cost £284.75 including VAT.

This was the cost of our particular multi-storey booking, not a hotel-and-parking package or a quote for future dates. Prices will depend on your travel dates and the parking option you choose.

Is Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport worth considering?

For our early flight, the appeal was straightforward: a room close to the terminal with the essentials for an overnight stay.

Our king room was compact, but it included a sofa bed, tea and coffee facilities, useful storage and a bathroom with a decent-size shower. The downstairs food area also provided an option for the evening before departure.

It’s worth considering if your priority is convenience before an early flight or after a late arrival. If you’re looking for a larger room or a hotel that forms part of the holiday itself, compare the alternatives before deciding.

Room rates vary by date. Check availability for your own trip to judge the value against other Bristol Airport hotels.
